China's bookstore chain brand Fang Suo Commune has been nominated for this year's London Book Fair International Excellence Awards, announced earlier on the LBF official website.

　　Fang Suo Commune will compete with BOA Bookstore of Vietnam and Unity Books (Wellington) Ltd of New Zealand for the Bookstore of the Year Award.

　　Fang Suo Commune, opened in 2011 in Guangzhou and now has branches in Chengdu, Chongqing and Qingdao, is a pioneer to experiment diversified operation and promote varied cultural and artistic works.It mainly sells books of art, designs and architecture and has held more than 1,000 cultural events and nearly 100 exhibitions over the years.

　　When interviewed after the news release, Chen Haibei,vice director of South-west region of Fang Suo Commune said,"it's great honor to be nominated for the award. This's the third time we applied for it. During the past 3 years, we have hosted three-session Chengdu International Bookstore Forum, published life-style magazine Life Stylist,with the aim of providing a platform for our staff to fully show their talents.We believe a bookstore plays vital role in local cultural progress, and we hope to continuously spread the fun of reading, making bookstore an inevitable space in our daily lives.
